BIRTHS

Definition of Births

Birth Registration

If an individual has no birth record, he or she can then file a Birth Registration application with the Lake County Probate Court. Black’s Law Dictionary defines "birth record" as statistical data kept by a governmental entity concerning a person’s birthdate, birthplace, and parentage.

Birth Correction

If there is an error in an Ohio birth record, the individual can file a Birth Correction application with the Lake County Probate Court to correct the error.
